A fundraising event to raise funds for brain
cancer and remember Coach Jim Boughton

The First Annual Grey Ribbon Crusade Run was started by Randi Westervelt in the Spring of 2010. The event was originally to honor (and raise funds for) Dubuque Senior High School Cross Country and Track Coach Jim Boughton.
Unfortunately Coach Boughton passed away just a few weeks before the event after a tremendous battle with brain cancer. The run proceeded as a memorial to his hard work and the legacy of achievement he left behind. Over 500 runners and walkers participated in the initial event, an amazing turnout.
This year we expect the turnout to be even greater, and hope you’ll join us!

New this year, the course takes a flat (and fast!) route from Dubuque Senior High School, down Clarke Drive to Madison Park, and back.
